Hello my friends!! At last I am in Mexico! At first I’d like you to know that it is a beautiful, hospitable and just awesome land!I even had a feeling that I am in homeland Ukraine. Similar drivers, similar wages, the same hospitability but people are a bit different.  I used to worry a little when I was going to cross the border – the americans told me that they are scared of Mexico. As I have rode first miles I suddenly have had a brain wave – being in Mexico is similar to being in one of the former USSR republics! For the americans it is just like the other planet where everything seems to be unpredictable, dangerous and sudden/ I don’t mean the american tourists who are not ignorant of what happens outside their comfortable and united States.

In general – look at the pictures, all details and conclusions will wait for the book. And still I will go on. I am going to spend in Mexico at least three weeks, have some rest, meet the New Year and make myself ready for the next stage of my tour through Central America!

The only rule of spending nights in Mexico I’ve heard was to stay at night only in motels with insistent recommendation to put your bike inside your room. This advice I have been receiving from different sources mostly from amerocan and european travelers. Having come to Mexico I am happy to inform you that the rules of the game are general – as far from people as possible. Those who are from Eastern Europe and more eastern lands will easily get accustomed!

Depositing the ground at the center of a river. I couldn’t find out why and how, but it was irrelevant. I am sure the workers did not speak English.

Another coffee-house that damaged my wallet with 20 grivnas (2,6$) for mexican fruit dumplings and cola. By the way cola in Mexico is more tasty than in the US.

The mountains and altitude of 2700 meters (8 858 feet) make Mexico special – at the daytime it’s hot but at night the temperature may decrease down to zero.

A figure in the right corner is a price for using paid roads from Mexico to Cancoon. It’s 125 USD(1 000 grivnas)! Of course, there is a detour way but it is two days (and 500 km) longer because the road lies through countryside and mountains. It’s just what I need!!

P.S. There will be surprise : ))
